Béganne ( Gallo Began , Breton Begaon ) is a French municipality with 1,404 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Morbihan in the region of Brittany .
geography
Béganne is located about sixteen kilometers southwest of Redon in the southeast of the Morbihan department and belongs to the Redon Agglomération municipal association .
Neighboring municipalities are Saint-Gorgon in the north, Allaire in the north-east and east, Saint-Dolay in the south-east, Nivillac in the south, Péaule in the south-west and Caden in the north-west.
The place is not far from roads for national traffic. The main road links in the vicinity are the E 60 (from Brest; in the south) and the D 775 (in the north and northeast).
The most important bodies of water are the rivers Vilaine and Étier and the Bach Bouloterie . The municipal boundary partially runs along these watercourses. At the confluence of the Étier in the Vilaine there is a leisure port near Foleux .
