Île-d'Arz, school and town hall

The Île d'Arz is a French island and a municipality with 225 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Morbihan department in Brittany in France .

It is located in the Gulf of Morbihan about three kilometers off the Breton coast near Vannes . It is about 2.5 km long and 2 km wide and one of the two island communities in the Gulf of Morbihan.

Dolmen Pen Liouse

The largest sailing school in France, Les Glénans , has one of its headquarters on the island . Practical and theoretical sailing courses are offered there.

The island receives up to 2500 visitors a day in the main season. The number of visitors is around 200,000 per year.

On the island is the dolmen à couloir of "Pen Raz", the dolmen de la Pointe de Liouse and a tide mill (Moulin à marée).
