In 1789 there were still four flour mills in the municipality, three of which were water mills . Today only the windmill of Cormier ( French: Speierling ) exists . It was built in 1640 and belonged to the Seigneur von Cranhac before the French Revolution . The last seigneur of Cranhac was Louis-Joachim-Paris Potier, duc de Gesvres, who was guillotined on July 7, 1794 after the trial of the indulgents . The mill later belonged to various millers and is now privately owned.
