Monteneuf ( Breton Monteneg ) is a French commune with 756 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Morbihan department in Brittany in France .
geography
Monteneuf is about fifteen kilometers southeast of Ploërmel in the east of the Morbihan department. The Rahun River runs along the western boundary of the municipality . Neighboring communities are Porcaro in the north, Guer in the east, Carentoir in the south, Réminiac in the southwest and Augan in the northwest.
