Billiers ( Breton Beler ) is a French municipality with 959 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Morbihan in the region of Brittany . It is part of the Communauté de communes Arc Sud Bretagne .

geography

The most important districts are Penlan , located directly on the coast, and the main town of Billiers, located at the mouth of the Saint-Éloi River .

Neighboring communities are Ambon in the west and Muzillac in the northeast.

Culture

Several artists have settled in Billiers and their works are regularly exhibited. The Moul'stock Festival for improvised music has been held in the summer since 2006 . Billiers also has its own community library.

Infrastructure

Billiers is about three kilometers from the motorway-like N 165, which leads from Nantes via Vannes to Brest . The nearest train stations are in Vannes and Questembert .
