history

The village arose on an old trade route through Moravia and was subject to the Pustimir district . Because of the great distance to the Gauburg, a small protective castle was built above Hradisko. Bezmirow was first mentioned in writing in 1078 in the founding document of the Benedictine monastery of St. Stephan near Olomouc . The village belonged, along with other villages, to the donation of the Duchess Ofka and her husband Otto the Beautiful to the order. In 1160 King Vladislav II confirmed the donation from Bezmirov and other localities to the monastery . In 1280 the place was called Bezmirow and in 1405 as Bezmyrow . Behind the village, which consists of two rows of houses, there has been a bathhouse since the 15th century, which was used by the residents for steam bathing in the winter months. After the monastery was destroyed by the Hussites in 1432, the villages of Bezmyrov and Hradisko were mortgaged in the middle of the 15th century. In 1454 King Ladislaus Postumus approved the rebuilding of the extinct monastery. The Premonstratensians were only able to redeem the pledged villages Bezmirowsstij and Hradisko in 1522. In 1537 the Hradian abbot united Hradisko with Bezměrov to form a municipality, which in 1617 finally sold the monastery to the Olomouc bishopric . At that time the village had grown to 43 houses and chaluppets had been built around the bath. During the Thirty Years' War the Swedes looted the Bezměrov farm in 1643 and burned it down along with most of the village. In 1644 the place consisted of 37 properties. In the bed of the Haná, which was then formed by several shallow river arms, there was a beaver colony, which was first mentioned in 1680 as the Devil's Hole . In 1698 Hradisko was again separated from Bezměrov. From 1718 the village was called Bezmierow . In the War of the Austrian Succession , Prussian troops burned the entire village. In 1790 the place consisted of 77 houses and had 541 inhabitants. After the battle of Austerlitz , Napoleonic troops occupied the place and extorted their food with arson . In 1834, 652 people lived in the 87 houses of Bezměrov. Until the middle of the 19th century, the village was always subject to the Kremsier episcopal rule .

After the abolition of patrimonial Bezmierow formed from 1850 a community in the district authority of Kremsier. The current place name Bezměrov has been used since 1872. In 1880 the village consisted of 110 houses and had 655 inhabitants. Ten years later, 675 people lived in Bezměrov. Since 2008 the community has had a coat of arms and a banner. Today Bezměrov consists of 217 houses, 170 of which are inhabited. There is a primary school, a kindergarten and a cultural center in the village. Ethnographically the village belongs to Hanna .
