Střílky is located at the western foot of the Mars Mountains in the Litava Valley. Beyond the valley, the Littentschitzer Bergland joins in the northwest . On the northern outskirts of Střílky, the European route 50 / state route I / 50 runs between Bučovice and Uherské Hradiště . The 432 runs through from Kyjov to Kroměříž .

Neighboring towns are Lísky and Strabenice in the north, Cetechovice and Zástřizl in the northeast, Staré Hutě in the east, Stupava in the southeast, Liskovec and Koryčany in the south and Brankovice and Kožušice in the west.

history

Střílky was first mentioned in 1261. It was owned by the Brumov burgrave Smil von Zbraslav and Střílky , who was assigned the area by the Bohemian King Ottokar II Přemysl around 1254 . Above Střílky Smil built the Střílky Castle , after which he first described himself in 1258 with the predicate "von Střílky" ( ze Střilek ). Since he left no heirs, Střílky fell back to the king as a settled fief after his death in 1273. In 1321 King John of Luxemburg transferred the rule Střílky as a fief to Heinrich / Jindřich von Leipa ( Železný ), who was a son of Heinrich von Leipa . Together with Tovačov and Hostěradice it was supposed to serve as marriage property for his bride Agnes von Blankenheim , who was related to the king. A short time later, the Střílky estate was acquired by the Lords of Cimburg , who sold it in 1358 to Margrave Johann Heinrich , who was a brother of the Bohemian King Charles IV . In the corresponding land table entry, Střílky is referred to as a "town".

Johann Heinrich's son Jobst von Moravia transferred the property to Vznata Hecht von Rossitz in 1406/1407 . In 1437 Střílky was again owned by the sovereign Sigmund . Presumably after his death in the same year, Střílky passed to the Lords of Lichtenburg on Vöttau . In 1481 Puta von Lichtenburg sold Střílky together with Brankovice and Malénky to Vladiken Jan von Ojnice, from whom the Lords of Boskowitz inherited it. Jan Šembera von Boskowitz († 1597) sold the rule with the desert castle Střílky to Nikolaus von Kobyli ( Mikuláš st. Kobylka z Kobylího ) in 1578 . 1590 Zástřizl was added to the Střílky rule. In 1602 Střílky was owned by Alexander Jobst von Haugwitz auf Biskupitz, in 1619 it was owned by Adam Martinovský von Rozseč , who built a renaissance castle. Before the Thirty Years' War, Anabaptists were well represented in Střílky .

After the Battle of White Mountain , Střílky was acquired by Messrs. Peterswald auf Peterswald. The baroque cemetery complex was laid out under Amand Anton von Peterswald. His son Bernhard Johann built a new one in place of the old church in 1744–1769. Since Bernhard Johann von Peterswald died without descendants, Střílky inherited the Counts of Kuenburg along with Cetechovice and Tovačov . Franz von Kuenburg sold Střílky, Zástřizly, Cetechovice and Roštín to Count Siegmund von Herberstein in 1885 . In 1912 it was acquired by the Austrian Foreign Minister Leopold Graf Berchtold , who already owned the neighboring Buchlovice . After the establishment of Czechoslovakia , the property was parceled out and sold in the course of the subsequent land reform. The Střílky Castle remained in the possession of Count Berchtold until it was expropriated in 1945.
