Zahnašovice (German Zahnaschowitz , 1939–1945 Sachnaschowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located three kilometers south of Holešov and belongs to the Okres Kroměříž .

geography

Zahnašovice is located at the transition from the Upper Moravian Valley ( Hornomoravský úval ) to the Fryštácká brázda ( Freistadtler Valley ). The village extends between the Mojena and Ludslávka streams on a slight hill. The R 49 expressway is being built north of the village ; behind it is the site of the former Holešov airfield, on which an industrial area is to be built. The Na Skále (284 m) rises to the south.

Neighboring towns are Všetuly and Holešov in the north, Plačkov, Na Větřáku and Přílepy in the Northeast, Martinice and Horni Lapač the east, Bednárňa, Vetrák, Žeranovice and Lechotice the southeast, Na Kopci and Míškovice in the south, Ludslavice and Kurovice in the southwest, Hulin in the West as well as Třebětice and Alexovice in the north-west.

history

The first written mention of Zagnosouih took place in 1131 in a register of the Olomouc bishop Heinrich Zdik over all goods of the diocese, in which a Hube of land is listed as property of the archdeaconate Přerov . In 1382 the St. Mauritius Church owned benefices in Zahnašovice, of which an annual donation had to be made to the Olomouc canons. In 1391 Canon Jaroslav excommunicated all those involved in the mistreatment of the local judge Štěpán, in this context it can be seen that at that time the entire village belonged to the church. In 1470 King Georg of Podebrady enfeoffed Albrecht Kostka von Postupitz with the estates Zahnašovice and Míškovice , who passed them on to his brother-in-law Ctibor von Ledská in 1472, who in 1475 left them to Wilhelm II of Pernstein . In 1604 Ladislav Popel von Lobkowicz acquired the village consisting of 26 farms and added it to his lordship Holešov. From 1650 the rule belonged to Johann von Rottal . In 1673 two of the 26 properties were desolate. In 1672 the place was called Zahnassowicze , other forms of the name were Zahnaschowitz (1675), Zahnassowitz (1718), Zahnschowitz (1720) and Zanaschowitz (1751). In 1749 the village consisted of 31 houses. After the von Rottal family died out, the inheritance fell to Franz Anton von Rottal's son-in-law Franz Maximilian Nádasdy in 1762 , who sold the rule to Count Erdődy . In 1789 a village school was set up, before lessons took place in Ludslavice. In 1834 Zanaschowitz consisted of 52 houses and had 339 inhabitants. Until the middle of the 19th century, the place was always subject to Holešov and was the seat of a bailiff. This office was linked to the possession of the bailiwick and was not hereditary.

After the abolition of patrimonial Zanašovice / Zahnaschowitz formed from 1850 a municipality in the district authority Holešov. In 1858 the Erdődy counts sold their goods in Holešov with all their accessories to the von Würben counts . The village school was rebuilt in 1871. From 1872 the community was called Zahnačovice and Zahnaschowitz . The current form of the name Zahnašovice has been used since 1881. In 1900 Zahnašovice consisted of 63 houses and 500 inhabitants, all of whom belonged to the Czech ethnic group and were Catholics. An annex was added to the school in 1914. In 1921, 486 Czechs lived in the 78 houses in the village. Religiously, the population consisted of Catholics with the exception of five Bohemian brothers and one New Hussia . There were two ponds, a quarry and a clay pit in the village. In 1944 a field airfield for the police was built north of the village . In 1953 Zahnašovice was incorporated into Holešov. In the course of the expansion of the Holešov military airfield, the state road II / 438 between Otrokovice and Holešov was relocated from Zahnašovice via Všetuly. As a result, the place lost its direct road connection to Holešov. For this reason, a separate cemetery was established in Zahnašovice in 1955. In 1960 the community was assigned to the Okres Kroměříž . Zahnašovice has been independent again since 1990. After the decision taken in 2004 to close the Holešov airfield and build a 360 hectare industrial area, the government added the project to the list of national strategy projects the following year. The airfield ceased operations in March 2009 and the first investor was announced after the infrastructure was completed in 2010. The R 49 expressway , which runs between the village and the future industrial area, is also under construction .
