Soběsuky (German Sobiesuk ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located eight kilometers southwest of Kroměříž and belongs to the Okres Kroměříž .

geography

Soběsuky is located on the northern slope of the Mars Mountains above the valley of the Kotojedka or Olšinka. To the east rise the Kopaniny (309 m). The Kroměříž - Zborovice railway line runs north of the village , the nearest railway station is Skržice .

Neighboring towns are Šelešovice and Drahlov in the north, Zlámanka in the north-east, Vrbka in the east, Lhotka and Boří in the south-east, Újezdsko and Milovice in the south, Cvrčovice and Zdounky in the south-west, Skržice in the west and Olšina in the north-west.

history

The first written mention of the village Sobyesuk took place in 1287. The place name Sobiesuky is passed down from 1520 .

After the abolition of patrimonial Soběsuky / Sobiesuk formed with the district Milovice from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Kroměříž. In 1921 Milovice became an independent municipality. At the beginning of 1961, Milovice and Skržice were incorporated. At the end of 2010 the district of Soběsuky consisted of 52 houses with 140 inhabitants; 166 people lived in the 64 houses of Milovice and Skržice with Olšina had 67 inhabitants who lived in 29 houses.

The municipality Soběsuky consists of the districts Milovice ( Milowitz ), Skržice ( Skerschitz ) and Soběsuky ( Sobiesuk ) as well as the settlement Olšina ( Olschina ).
