history

Lhota was first mentioned in writing in 1382, when Čeněk von Konečná assigned the village together with Cvrčovice and a farm in Lazníky to Oldřich von Mydlovary. Probably Lhota originally formed an independent estate together with Cvrčovice. In 1406 the village of Sobeň from Lhota belonged, who three years later sold it to Frank von Morkovice. Pavlík from Eywan's mother Svena, who owned a dowry on Lhota, moved it in 1409 to her Skržice estate. As a result of the sale, a feud between Frank von Morkovice, Smil von Lhota and Pavlík von Skržice arose in 1412. In the same year Frank von Morkovice signed part of the estate as a dowry to Litek von Stranice's wife Zdinka. In 1561 the Lhota estate was attached to the Zdounky rule. In 1564 the Zoubek of Zdětín became the new masters of Zdounky. Kateřina Eliška Zoubková bequeathed her property to the Jesuit order in 1635 . The place has been known as Lhotka since the 17th century . After secularization , Zdounky fell to the religious fund in 1785, from which it was acquired by Count Lamberg in 1806 . Until the middle of the 19th century, the place always remained subservient to Zdounky.

After the abolition of patrimonial Lhotka formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Kroměříž. At the beginning of 1961 Lhotka was united with Újezdsko and Kostelany to form the municipality of Chřibsko . This changed its name to Kostelany on April 1, 1991. In 1991, 75 people lived in Lhotka. In the 2001 census, the place consisted of 33 houses in which 76 people lived.
