history

The village of Vgezdecz , which belonged to the Kvasice estate, was first mentioned in writing in 1365, when Milota II von Benešov gave the place to his wife Elisabeth von Sternberg . A little later there was a division of the village, while part of the rule fell to Zástřizly . In 1381 Protivec von Zástřizl signed over half of it together with half the village of Zástřizly as a dowry to his wife. At the transition to the 15th century, Protivec must have acquired the other half, because in 1406 he sold the entire village including the farm and the vineyard to Prokop of Podolí. From 1412 Vgezdecz belonged permanently to the sovereign Zdounky estate . In 1520, curiously, both in the property register of the Zdounky estate and the Kvasice manor, the desolate village of Vgezdecz is mentioned for the first time and in 1561 the place was again named Augezdeczko , and again at the same time as desolate for Kvasice and Zdounky. The resulting assumption that there was another village of the same name near Kvasice, which was also deserted at the same time, is considered unlikely.

After the suppression of the Wallachian Uprising in 1644, the owner of the Kvasice estate, Governor Johann Anton von Rottal , had residents of eastern Wallachia forcibly relocated to Augezdeczko . In 1658 Augezdeczko was repopulated. In 1667 the village was again attached to the Zdounky rule. At that time the place consisted of ten chalets and a stately cattle stables. From 1670 the village was called Oujezdek / Augezdek . Until the middle of the 19th century, the place always remained subservient to Zdounky.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Augezdsko 1850 a municipality in the district administration Kroměříž. From 1872 it carried the name Újezdsko and from 1893 both Oujezdsko and Újezdsko . Since 1924 Újezdsko has been the official place name. At the beginning of 1961, Újezdsko was combined with Kostelany and Lhotka to form the municipality of Chřibsko . This changed its name to Kostelany on April 1, 1991. In 1991, 81 people lived in Újezdsko. In the 2001 census, the place consisted of 59 houses in which 83 people lived. At the end of 2010, Újezdsko had 96 inhabitants.

Regionally, Újezdsko belongs to Moravian Slovakia , but the Wallachian dialect has been preserved in the village, as in Nová Dědina .
