Zástřizly (German Sastrisel also Zástřizl ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 17 kilometers northeast of Kyjov and belongs to the Okres Kroměříž .
geography
The village on the upper reaches of the Litava is located at the northwestern foot of the Mars Mountains . Beyond the broad Litava Valley, the Littentschitzer Bergland joins in the north . On the southern outskirts, Zástřizly is affected by the European route 50 / state route I / 50 between Bučovice and Uherské Hradiště . In the west the 432 runs from Kyjov to Kroměříž .
Neighboring towns are Chvalnov in the north, Cetechovice in the north-east, Staré Hutě and Stupava in the south-east, Přílepy in the south, Střílky in the south-west, Kožušice in the west and Lísky in the north-west.
history
The first written mention of Zástřizly was in 1349. The owners were the noble family von Zástřizl , who had their ancestral seat at the local fortress and extended their property to large parts of Moravia until the 18th century .
The fortress, which was probably located on the raised square in Dědina, where the former distillery characterizes the townscape today, was abandoned in 1590 and Zástřizly was assigned to the Střílky manor .
During the German occupation of Czechoslovakia, the construction of a motorway from Brno to Zlin began , which was never completed. Between 1939 and 1942 three motorway bridges were built near Sastrisel.
