history
The first written mention of the place comes from 1349 and shows it from the seat of Vladiken Sezema von Prusinowitz . The origin of the place name, which is derived on the one hand from the Prussian ethnic group and on the other hand from a locator Prosen, is disputed . The derivation of the place name from a cattle flood is more likely . Subsequently, the village belonged to different Prusinowitz lines. In 1464 Prokop Podstatzky von Prusinowitz sold the estate to the brothers Philipp and Artleb von Wiczkow. They came from the Moravian knight dynasty von Víckov and called themselves from then on Prusinovský von Víckov. Johann Wilhelm Prusinovský von Víckov allowed the Bohemian Brethren to settle in the village in 1521. They built a church in Prusinovice. At the beginning of the Thirty Years' War Wenceslaus Bítovský von Bítov bought the property. He was expropriated after the Battle of the White Mountain and the goods were sold to Zdeněk Vojtěch von Lobkowicz . His son Wenzel Eusebius von Lobkowicz sold the rulership of Bistritz, including Prusinowitz, to Johann von Rottal in 1650 . In 1790 Franz von Rottal , who had no male descendants, bequeathed the property to his nephew Johann Nepomuk Wenger. He was followed by Jean Monte l'Abbate, whose sister owned the property to her husband Olivier von Laudon. Other owners were Ernst von Laudon and his son Ernst Gideon von Laudon .
After the abolition of patrimonial Prusinowitz received its independence in 1850 and became part of the political district of Kremsier . In 1903, the Prusinovice farm was bought by the share sugar factory in Všetuly. In 1961 the community was added to the Okres Kroměříž . The village is known colloquially as Rohálov by its inhabitants .
The Rohálovská desítka , a running event over 10 kilometers, has been held annually since 1993 .
