history
Turovice originated on a medieval trade route leading over the Moštěnka to the Hostýn. The first written mention of the place took place in 1131 in a property register of the Archdeaconate Přerov, which owned a large amount of land here. Turovice was an old manor house, the festival was located on Na Zámčiskoch square . Around 1350 the brothers Hereš, Jiřík, Ondřej and Ješek, called Sysel, first used the de Turowicz title . The fortress was first mentioned in 1359 as the seat of Ješek de Turowicz. Later belonged the Drslav von Schellenberg estate ( Drslav ze Šelmberku ), who in 1371 transferred one half of Turovice together with Dřevohostice to Ctibor von Cimburg and ten years later the other half to Zdeněk Bukovský von Sternberg . Peter Hecht von Turovice, also called Hereš, belonged to the feudal men of the Olomouc bishopric from 1393 . In 1415 he was one of the signatories of a complaint against the Council of Constance . In 1584 Turovice became subject to the Přerov Castle. In 1747 a feudal court was established. In 1791, 242 people lived in the 40 houses in the village.
After the abolition of patrimonial Turovice / Turowitz formed from 1850 a community in the district authority Holleschau . In 1890 the village consisted of 52 houses and had 308 inhabitants. In 1930 there were 57 houses with 303 residents in Turovice. In 1951 Turovice was incorporated into Dřevohostice, this merger was canceled in 1964. After the Okres Holešov was abolished, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Přerov in 1960. 1964 came Turovice again as a district to Dřevohostice. Since 1990 the place has been independent again. In 1991 the village had 222 inhabitants. Turovice has had a coat of arms and a banner since 1997. Ethnographically the village belongs to Hanna .
