history

The first written mention of the village Stříbrníci , which belonged to the Kojetín rule , took place in 1495. The village was built on the northern edge of a large forest area on the trade route from Kroměříž to Vyškov . At the beginning of the 16th century, Wilhelm II of Pernstein became the owner of the Kojetín pledge. Other forms of the name were Strzibernitz , Střibernitz , Střibrnitz , Stržibernitz (1676), Stříbernik (1846) and Střibernicium (1863). On December 20, 1720, the pledge returned to the diocese of Prague and in 1726 Archbishop Franz Ferdinand von Kuenburg sold the Kojetín rule to Marie Elisabeth of Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf . Until the middle of the 19th century, the village always remained submissive to Kojetín.

After the abolition of patrimonial Stříbrnice / Strzibernitz formed from 1850 a municipality in the Kremsier district authority . In 1855 the municipality was assigned to the Kojetín District and in 1868 again to the Kremsier District. Since 1877 the village belonged to the Okres Přerov. In 1905 a school of its own was built in Stříbrnice, before lessons took place in Vrchoslavice. During the German occupation , the place was given the German name Silbersdorf . In 1949 the community was assigned to the Okres Kojetín, after its abolition it came back to the Okres Přerov in 1960. Stříbrnice was incorporated into Kojetín as the district Kojetín V-Stříbrnice in 1976. The school closed in 1978. Since 1990 Stříbrnice has formed its own municipality again. The Mořice - Kojetín motorway section was built between 2007 and 2009, after archaeological excavations were carried out in 2006. Ethnographically, the community belongs to Hanna .
