history

After the dissolution of the Dominican monastery of St. Katharina in Olomouc in 1782 as part of the Josephine reforms , the monastery property Zittenhof (Citov) fell to the religious fund and was parceled out.

In 1785, the village of Josefslust was built on the Zittenhofer Gütern, just under two kilometers east of Zittenhof . The name chosen by Hofrat Joachim von Stettenhofen in honor of Emperor Joseph II , however, found little approval among the residents and was soon changed to Kaiserwerth and finally changed to Kaiserswerth . The first settlers came from the villages of Citov and Svésedlice . The Czech name Císařov came into being in the 19th century .

After the abolition of patrimonial Císařov / Kaiserswerth formed a community in the Kroměříž district from 1850. In 1880 it was assigned to the Přerov district. Between 1983 and 1990 the place was incorporated into Brodek u Přerova .
