Milotice nad Bečvou (German Milotitz an der Betschwa ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located eight kilometers southeast of Hranice and belongs to the Okres Přerov .

geography

Milotice nad Bečvou is located on the right side of the Bečva in the Moravian Gate . The state road I / 35 / E 442 from Hranice to Valašské Meziříčí and on the southern periphery the railway line Hranice na Moravě – Vsetín runs through the village . To the north rises the Na Strážnici (353 m), in the northeast of the Bušlín (333 m) and in the southwest of the Strážisko (335 m). A pond area consisting of five ponds extends south of Milotice in the Bečvaaue.

Neighboring towns are Hranické Loučky in the north, Heřmanice , Vysoká and Palačov in the northeast, Hustopeče nad Bečvou in the east, Nový Mlýn and Na Valše in the southeast, Pod Doubravou, Němetice and Zámrsky in the south, Skalička in the southwest, Kamenec , Kačena and Černotín in the west Hluzov, Špičky and Kunčice in the northwest.

history

Milotici was first mentioned in writing in 1131 in a list of properties from the Olomouc bishop Heinrich Zdik . In 1263 the village was named Milotiz , 1492 Milotice , 1675 Milotitz , 1718 Millotitz and 1771 Milotitium . The registers have been kept in Hustopeče nad Bečvou since 1683.

After the abolition of patrimonial Milotice / Millotitz formed from 1850 a district of the market town of Hustopeč in the district administration of Mährisch Weißkirchen . From 1858 Milotice formed its own municipality. The first school was established in 1875. From 1881 Arnošt Dadák worked as a teacher and headmaster in Milotice. He was the initiator and editor of the agricultural journal Valašský hospodář, which has been published in Valašské Meziříčí since 1890 . From 1896 the magazine appeared in Milotice under the name Milotický hospodář . Rail traffic began in 1884. The Jambor brothers founded a factory for carriages and agricultural implements in 1908. In addition, there was a mill with a sawmill at that time. Since 1909 the place has the official name Milotice nad Bečvou / Milotitz an der Betschwa . After the First World War, the Milotický hospodář became the most widespread agricultural magazine in Czechoslovakia, and the large and small calendars of the paper also enjoyed great popularity. In 1924, the country's first municipal printing house was opened in Milotice. In 1928 the village was connected to the electricity network. The road to Litschel ( Hranické Loučky ) was built in 1931. In the years 1935 to 1936, the two-track expansion of the Hranice-Vsetín railway line and in 1939 the new road from Hranice to Valašské Meziříčí was built. After the Okres Hranice was abolished, Milotice nad Bečvou was assigned to the Okres Přerov in 1960. In 1976 the village was joined to the Local National Committee (MNV) Hustopeče nad Bečvou and in 1983 it was completely incorporated. In 1978 the school was closed and the building was converted into a kindergarten. Since 1990 Milotice nad Bečvou has again formed its own municipality. Since 2006 the community has had a coat of arms and a banner.
