geography

Sušice is located on the left side of the Bečva between its tributaries Libuška and Libuše in the Moravian Gate . The village is located at the foot of the Záhoří ridge belonging to the Podbeskydská pahorkatina ( Vorbeskid Hills ). The Přísahanec (333 m) rises to the east.

Neighboring towns are Oldřichov in the north, Kudlov, Nové Dvory and Hlinsko in the Northeast, Kladníky the east, Prusínky the southeast, Pavlovice u Přerova and Tučín in the south, Radslavice in the southwest, Grymov and Prosenice in the west and Proseničky , Radvanice , Podolší Mlyn and Haltýře in Northwest.

history

The village was first mentioned in writing on February 2, 1078 in a certificate from Otto the Beautiful , who equipped the Hradisko Monastery , which he had founded the previous year, with extensive property holdings, including an outbuilding in Sušice, on the occasion of its consecration. A document from 1160 shows that the monastery in Sušice had seven outbuildings at that time. In 1340, Vladike Jan von Sušice and Horka signed a document for Filip von Velké Senice as a witness. He was followed by his son of the same name before 1360, who became a canon in Olomouc from 1379. In 1376, his brother Ješek Hromada von Sušice and Horka († 1408) owned the Sušice fortress with the villages of Sušice, Pavlovice, Radslavice, Prusínky and part of Tučín. He sold Sušice and Radslavice in 1392 to Margrave Jobst of Moravia , who in the same year sold both goods to the Olomouc Chapter . In 1465, Georg von Podiebrad pledged eight capital villages, including Sušice and Radslavice to Ctibor von Cimburg . Between 1494 and 1502, Dean Konrad Althaym granted the subjects the privilege of revocation ( bona vacantia ), which was renewed by the chapter in 1587. From 1609 Georg von Würben and Freudenthal ( Jiří Bruntálský z Vrbna ) was the owner of Sušice and Radslavice on Helfštýn . Since he was a member of the Moravian Directory on the side of the rebels and 1619–1621 held the post of chief magistrate of Moravia, his goods were confiscated after the Battle of White Mountain ; Sušice and Radslavice went back to the Olomouc chapter.

This had the space for a new manor house measured in the Suschitz forest in 1680. Because of the strong resistance of the subjects, the farm was only laid out between 1694 and 1696 and was cultivated from 1701. In 1787 the village Ulrychowitz was laid out in the course of the raabization on the corridors of the former manor house , which from 1817 also belonged to the new cadastre of Sušice. To the northeast of Sušice, on the Libuška, was the Kuttlof mill - an old water mill. Until the middle of the 19th century, Radslavice was always subject to the Tršice dominion belonging to the Olomouc Chapter .

After the abolition of patrimonial Sušice / Suschitz formed from 1850 with the district Ulrichov / Ulrichowitz a municipality in the district authority Kremsier . On July 2 and November 4, 1858, two fires destroyed large parts of the village. The community has been part of the Prerau district since 1880 . In 1957 Oldřichov broke away from Sušice and formed its own community. Together with Oldřichov and Grymov , Sušice was incorporated into Radslavice in 1974 . The village of Sušice has existed again since 1990. Since 2004 it has had a coat of arms and a banner. Today Sušice consists of 96 houses. Ethnographically the village belongs to Hanna .
