Čechy (German Czech ) is a municipality with 330 inhabitants in the Czech Republic . It is located seven kilometers southeast of Přerov and belongs to the Okres Přerov . The cadastral area is 454 ha.
geography
Čechy lies in the Hanna on the right bank of the Moštěnka and has grown together with the neighboring municipality of Domaželice to the east . State road 150 from Přerov to Bystřice pod Hostýnem runs through the village .
Neighboring towns are Podolí in the north, Hradčany in the north-east, Nahošovice and Turovice in the west, Líšná and Mariánov in the south, Beňov in the south-west, Prusy in the west and Želatovice in the north-west.
history
The first written mention of Čechy can be found in 1358 in the Olomouc country table . The original seat of the landed nobility came to Prerau Castle in 1487 . In the 16th century in particular, the owners changed very frequently , including those of Cimburk, Kostka von Postupice , Wilhelm II. Von Pernstein , Žerotín , Jan Karas z Dudlebenky, Kokořovec from Kokořov and Václav Vahanský from Vohančice . In 1687 the Counts of Oppersdorf acquired Čechy. After the manors were replaced, Čechy became an independent municipality in 1850. The property came to Karl Freiherr von Badenfeld through family connections in 1839.
In 1974 an outdoor pool was inaugurated. The former Mariánov manor has served as a training facility for top racing horses since 1982.
