history

Zbrašov was first mentioned in a document in 1328. The warm sourlings on the Bečva have been used for bathing purposes since the 16th century. In 1553 the owner of the Weißkirchen estate, Jan Kropáč von Nevědomí, had a stone bathing pool built. The name Teplice was first handed down for the bath in 1593 . The bathroom came to a standstill as a result of the Thirty Years' War. The registers for Zbrašov have been kept in Mährisch Weißkirchen since 1623.

In 1711, a two-story stone bathhouse with an attached wooden gallery was built on the right bank of the river near Mährisch Weißkirchen. A place seal from Zbrašov has been documented since 1766. To the left of the Betschwa, a bath was opened again at the end of the 18th century. This was named Teplitz from 1794 , Töplicza in 1798 , later Töplitz and Zbrašovské Teplice , 1863 as Thermae Teplicanses and from 1893 as Teplitz-Bad . The spa, which also had a whey spa, continued to grow until the end of the 19th century.

After the abolition of patrimonial Zbrašov became an independent municipality in the district administration Mährisch Weißkirchen in 1849. From 1881 Teplice was considered a group of houses from Zbrašov. The Zbraschau aragonite caves were discovered in 1921 and opened to the public in 1926. In 1923, the Moravian Ostrava District Health Insurance Fund became the sponsor of the Lázně Teplice nad Bečvou spa. In the 1920s the construction of new spa buildings began in Lázně Teplice nad Bečvou. The Moravan sanatorium was established in 1924, followed by the Slovenka spa two years later. Since 1928 Teplice had the character of a settlement belonging to Zbrašov. The Grand Hotel Klíč was built in 1929. In 1930 the central administration of social security in Prague took over the bath. The Praha Bathhouse was opened in 1932.

Lázně Teplice nad Bečvou received the status of a spa on April 18, 1957 . On January 1, 1959, the name of the municipality Zbrašov in Teplice nad Bečvou took place. In the course of the territorial reform of 1960 and the dissolution of the Okres Hranice, Teplice nad Bečvou was assigned to the Okres Přerov on January 1, 1961 . Between 1975 and 1990 the place was incorporated into Hranice.

The Teplice nad Bečvou spa now specializes in the treatment of heart diseases.
