Dolní Újezd (German Unter Augezd , 1939–1945 Unter Aujest ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located four kilometers northwest of Lipník nad Bečvou and belongs to the Okres Přerov .

Dolní Újezd ​​is located at the southern foot of the Oder Mountains in the Moravian Gate by the Lubeň brook. The Libavá military training area extends to the north . To the north rise the Lomec (583 m) and the U Boudy (523 m). On the northern edge of the village, the R 35 / E 462 / E 442 expressway runs through a 98 m long tunnel.

Neighboring towns are Kozlov and Slavkov in the north, Bohuslávky and Loučka in the Northeast, Jezernice the east, ořechy and Trnávka in the southeast, Osek nad Bečvou in the south, Tupec, Lukavec and Stani in the southwest, Svrčov, Pančava and Výkleky the west and Skoky , Staměřice and Vrchní Pila in the northwest. The oldest mention of the village is dated to 1322, but it cannot be documented. Ugezd Wladiczi can be documented for the first time in 1356. At that time the village was divided into a Vladikean part and the manorial part belonging to the Helfenstein Castle . In 1392 the place was called Uzed , from 1447 as Vladyčí Újezd , 1480 as Újezd and from 1481 as Dolní Aujezd . In 1512 Wilhelm II of Pernstein approved the establishment of a two-wheel mill in Dolní Újezd. In the 16th century, the Helfenstein gentlemen gradually bought up the Vladiken share, so that only a Freihof remained, which ultimately also passed to the rule. At that time, in addition to Vladyčí Újezd , two other villages called Újezd belonged to the Helfenstein domain - Vysoký Újezd and Volavý or Horni Újezd . After 1517 the name Vladyčí Újezd can no longer be traced , instead Dolní Újezd ​​was used. The following owners were from 1554 Půta von Ludanitz and from 1592 the Counts von Würben . At the beginning of the 17th century, Georg von Würben auf Freudenthal relocated the manor to the new Leipnik Palace . During the Thirty Years War, the rule of Leipnik fell hereditary to Cardinal Franz Seraph von Dietrichstein . In the last years of the war the village was ravaged and plundered by various troops, in the hoof register of 1656 half of the properties are listed as desolate. Other forms of name are from 1660 Augezd Inferior , Augezda Inferius , from 1672 Unter Augezd and from 1847 Infero Aujezda . The registers were kept in Ossek from 1693 and in Dolní Újezd ​​from 1788. Between 1738 and 1781 Karl von Dietrichstein was the owner of the estate. Further landlords were from 1781 Johann Karl von Dietrichstein and from 1808 to 1850 Franz Joseph von Dietrichstein . Between 1775 and 1776 in Dolní Újezd ​​a small, St. Gallus, which was given a chaplaincy from 1786. In 1788 a school was established, which was also attended by the children from Trnávka and Tupec. The construction of the Kaiserstraße from Olomouc to Leipnik between 1783 and 1786 brought a great boost to the farming village. Craftsmen, mainly blacksmiths and wagons, settled in Dolní Újezd. In addition, spans were built along the street around which the settlements of Skoky and Zavadilka were formed in the 19th century. In 1812 a major fire destroyed part of the village consisting of wooden houses. Until the middle of the 19th century, the village was always subject to Leipnik and Prince Dietrichstein .

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Dolní Újezd / sub Augezd with the districts and Skoky Trnávka 1850 a municipality in the district administration Moravian Weisskirchen . In 1855 the community was assigned to the Leipnik district, from 1868 it belonged again to the Mährisch Weißkirchen district. After the construction of the new church, the Dolní Újezd ​​Curate was elevated to a parish in 1859 and a new schoolhouse was built in the same year. In 1862 part of the village burned down again. Hop growing started in 1883. In 1908, as a result of the large fire of 1907, the volunteer fire brigade was founded. After 1910 the road to Bohuslávky was built . In 1920 Trnávka broke up and formed its own community; Skoky followed in 1923. Dolní Újezd ​​was connected to the electricity network in 1928, and three years later the construction of a sewerage system began. In the course of the territorial reform of 1960 and the dissolution of the Okres Hranice, Dolní Újezd ​​was assigned to the Okres Přerov on January 1, 1961 . In 1976 the municipality of Staměřice with the district of Skoky was attached to the Local National Committee Dolní Újezd ​​and in 1983 it was completely incorporated. At the end of the 1990s, the R 35 expressway was built north of the village ; Since it cut a bio corridor on the slope of the Oder Mountains, the Dolní Újezd ​​tunnel was constructed between 1997 and 1998.
