history

The village was first mentioned in 1234 in a document from the Olomouc cathedral chapter. Since 1190, the majority of the place belonged to the Olomouc St. Wenceslas Cathedral. Ottokar II. Přemysl granted the chapter share in 1256 far-reaching privileges to relieve sovereign obligations. The village essentially belonged to the chapter until 1848.

The Vladiken von Nelešovice owned a small part of the village with the Nelešovice farm . Hostek von Nelešovice was the first of the family in 1270. In 1482 Ctibor of Nelešovice renounced his property in favor of the cathedral chapter. The chapter created a vicarial crown property with a court. The western part of the village was later sold to the lords of Ludanice on Rokytnice . Wenceslaus von Ludanice auf Helfštýn left the farm to Vladiken Václav Mol von Modřelice for his services. After brief ownership, he sold it to Johann von Widbach in 1584. The owners of the estate subsequently changed in quick succession. From 1651 they included the rector of the Olomouc Jesuit College, Michal Hynek Tomassi, from 1663 Ladislav Haugwitz , from 1824 Ludwig von Lewenau and from 1835 the vice-president of the Vienna Court Chamber, Joseph Ritter von Eichhoff.

After the abolition of patrimonial Nelešovice formed a municipality in the Olomouc region from 1850. In 1921 the municipality became part of the Olomouc Region and since January 1, 1949 it has belonged to the Okres Přerov . In 1970 the village had 230 inhabitants.
