Luboměř pod Strážnou (German Liebenthal ) is a municipality in the Okres Olomouc in the Czech Republic . It is located on the edge of the Libavá military training area , north of the town of Potštát , to whose rule Luboměř pod Strážnou belonged for many centuries.
The first written record comes from the year 1394. Over time the village was also called Lybntal , Ligutal , Liptain , Libomiersch , Lyptanie , Lybomyrz . A predominantly German population lived in Luboměř pod Strážnou. In 1775 the village had 52 houses and 334 inhabitants. According to a census of 1921, the place had 93 houses with 375 inhabitants (371 Germans, 3 Czechs and 1 foreigner), all of whom had the Catholic denomination.
After the Second World War, the German population was expelled in 1946. Until today the place has not reached its former population in 1989.
