history

After the Olomouc bishop Heinrich Zdik had acquired large parts of eastern Moravia, including the Kelč Gau, from Duke Otto II , he had these areas colonized by Bohemian settlers. In 1131 the newly created villages Cesici and Čechovice were first mentioned. Bishop Theoderich von Neuhaus enfeoffed the knight Ondřej von Čechovice in 1302 with the village Češice, which had been desolate again for a long time . It is unclear whether this refers to Horní or Dolní Těšice. In 1380 the place was called Maius Tyeschicze , 1389 as Tyessicze Magnum , 1508 as Dolní Těšice , 1517 as Těšice and 1557 as Velké Těšice . The episcopal feudal men included Otto von Tannfeld in 1395, Wenzel von Tannfeld in 1479, Heralt von Kunstadt auf Boleradice in 1527 and Viktorin von Zierotin in 1602 . During the Thirty Years' War the feud was withdrawn and became part of the episcopal rule of Kelč. From 1676 the place was called Nieder Tieschitz and from 1751 Unter Tieschitz . The oldest local seal bears the inscription PECETOBCEDOLNOTIESCHICK . In 1791 the village consisted of 20 houses and had 130 inhabitants. Until the middle of the 19th century, Dolno Těšice always remained submissive to Kelč, wherever it was parish.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Dolní Těšice / sub Tieschitz 1850 a village in the municipality Horní Těšice in the district administration Holleschau . In 1855 Dolní Těšice was assigned to the Moravian White Churches district . In 1869 135 people lived in Dolní Těšice, in 1900 there were 119. Since 1879 Dolní Těšice formed its own municipality. In 1924 119 people lived in the 21 houses in Dolní Těšice. In 1950 the place had 94 inhabitants. After the Okres Hranice was abolished, Dolní Těšice was assigned to the Okres Přerov in 1960. In 1964 the merger with Horní Těšice took place to form a municipality Těšice. This was initially affiliated to the Local National Committee Skalička in 1976 and since 1983 has been incorporated entirely into Skalička. Since November 24, 1990, Dolní Těšice has again formed its own municipality.
