history

The place was first mentioned in writing in 1321, when Nikolaus von Malchnovicz signed a document from the Smilheim Monastery as a witness. The Vladiken von Malhoticz were enfeoffed with the episcopal fief Malhoticz since the 14th century . In 1420 Jan von Malhotitz was named as the owner. In 1393 the place was named Malotitz , from 1506 as Malhotice , from 1675 as Malhotitz and from 1771 as Malhotitium . In contrast to other goods in the Keltscher Gaus, Malhotice is characterized by the durability of the feud. After the local Vladiken family died out, the Silesian family Obešlík von Litultovice was enfeoffed with the estate in 1522. They had the medieval fortress converted into a castle and held the property until 1604. After the Battle of the White Mountain , the landlord Jan Šťastný Podstatzky von Prusinowitz was sentenced to a fine of 1,800 guilders for participating in the class uprising. On January 22nd, 1626 the Silesian nobleman Christoph Bujakowsky von Knurow bought Malhotice from Zdenko Žalkovský von Žalkovice. Bujakowsky was murdered by Danish soldiers or Wallachian insurgents during the Mansfeld rebellion at the end of October 1626, and the estate fell to his heirs. The Bojakovský z Malhotic family branch owned the estate for over 300 years. The registers were kept in Vsetín from 1670 and in Všechovice from 1738 . Until the middle of the 19th century, Malhotice was always an independent fiefdom.

After the abolition of patrimonial Malhotice / Malhotitz formed from 1850 a community in the district authority Holleschau . In 1868 the community was assigned to the Mährisch Weißkirchen district . With the death of Friedrich Bojakowsky von Malhotitz in 1925, the Malhotitz family branch in the male line went out. In the course of the land reform, parts of the property were parceled out in 1926. The estate was inherited by his daughter Marie Dietzschold-Bojakowsky, who sold it to the Janáčkov, Skuherský and Januškov families in 1928. After the Okres Hranice was abolished, Malhotice was assigned to the Okres Přerov in 1960. In 1976 the village was initially affiliated to the Local National Committee Všechovice and since 1983 it was completely incorporated into Všechovice. Since November 24, 1990, Malhotice has again formed its own municipality.

coat of arms

Malhotice has had a coat of arms and a banner since May 11, 2001. The two-part coat of arms shows a black billy goat with a red tongue and a silver dragon wing on a silver and red background in the upper field. The lower field represented a silver dragon's tail on a green background. The buck and the colors of the upper field are borrowed from the coat of arms of the Bojakovský of Malhotice, the dragon is the heraldic animal of the Obešlík of Litultovice.

Attractions

  • Malhotice Castle, it was built in the second half of the 16th century as a renaissance building for the Obešlík from Litultovice instead of the old fortress. Wilhelm Bojakowsky had the palace redesigned in Empire style at the beginning of the 19th century and surrounded by a landscaped park. Since the second half of the 20th century the castle has served as the seat of the municipal administration and as a school. As a result of the renovations made for this purpose, the original character as a mansion was completely lost.
  • Church of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, built 1913–1914
  • Burial place of the Bojakowsky von Malhotitz family in the cemetery
  • two chapels opposite and a memorial stone on the road to Všechovice, they were built on the site of the murder of Christoph Bujakowsky von Knurow and were later given the wrong year 1624.
