history

Archaeological finds in the Grand des Nihlovský potok prove that the area has been settled since the Paleolithic . Scalicz was first mentioned in a document in 1329, when the Olomouc Bishop Hynko Vlček von Domky enfeoffed the estate. The name of the place derives from the Jura limestone cliffs in the Hrabí forest. Since 1429 the village belonged to the Keltsch parish villages. In 1412 the place was called Skalička , from 1675 as Skalycžka or Skalicžka and from 1798 as Skalitschka . From 1429 Skalička belonged to the Keltsch parish villages, the registers were kept there from 1662. The episcopal feudal men included u. a. the Žernovský of Žernov, as their possession since 1554 the fortress was first mentioned. Since 1618 the Ullersdörfer von Nimptsch held the feud for 120 years. In the middle of the 18th century the village consisted of 13 estates and four chalets. After the property fell back, the Diocese Skalička sold in 1738 for 18,000 guilders to Christoph Erdmann Freiherr Minkwitz von Minkwitzburg . A school was set up in the village between 1750 and 1770. Christoph Erdmann's son Otto Minkwitz, who inherited Skalička in 1799, sold the estate to Baron Richard von Mattencloit. He sold it in 1807 to Franz Xaver Guyard Count Saint Julien , who had the fortress transformed into an Empire palace. Until the middle of the 19th century, Skalička always remained an independent fief.

After the abolition of patrimonial Skalička / Skalitschka formed from 1850 a community in the district administration Mährisch Weißkirchen . From 1854 the estate belonged to Count Strachwitz , who fathered an illegitimate child in Skalička. He was followed from 1858 by Count Stockau and from 1864 by the von Dubský family. The latter sold the property that had served them as their summer residence in 1876 for 90,000 to the Archdiocese of Olomouc. In 1870 a new school house was inaugurated. The volunteer fire brigade was founded in 1893. After the establishment of Czechoslovakia, a real estate fund was set up in Skalička in the summer of 1919 to parcel out the archbishopric large estates in Kelč and Kamenec . In 1924 the road from the castle gate to Ústí was built. The bus service from Kelč to Hranice started two years later. The gymnastics club Sokol, founded in 1921, inaugurated its gymnasium in the former manorial warehouse in 1928; later it was converted into a cultural center. In 1930 Skalička was connected to the electricity network. The local cemetery was established in 1943. At the end of the Second World War, German soldiers were quartered in the U Kučů and U Bagarů inns . On April 28, a group of partisans attacked the Wehrmacht department. Skalička came into fire from the German artillery on May 7, 1945 and was captured by the Red Army the next day. After the Okres Hranice was abolished, Skalička was assigned to the Okres Přerov in 1960. In 1973 the new kindergarten was inaugurated. From 1976 the municipalities of Zámrsky , Ústí and Těšice ( Horní Těšice and Dolní Těšice ) were affiliated to the Local National Committee Skalička and in 1983 were completely incorporated. These places broke up again on November 24, 1990.
