history

The first written mention of the village Nachorini was made in 1131 in a document from the Olomouc bishop Heinrich Zdik . The village belonged to the direct property of the Olomouc cathedral chapter until 1263 and was still an episcopal fief in the second half of the 13th century, whose owners changed in rapid succession by the 15th century. In 1307 the place was referred to as Choryn and in 1320 as Chorin . Since the 15th century, the fief has been in constant possession of the von Ledska family, who from 1620 onwards were given the title Chorynský von Ledska for the place . In 1680 the place was hit by an outbreak of pestilence. At the beginning of the 19th century the Lords of Forgáč bought the property. In 1846 the place was called Chorina .

After the abolition of patrimonial Choryň / Chorin formed with the district Střítež from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Valašské Meziříčí. Since 1872 the place was called Chorýn . Střítež lost its status as a district at the end of the 19th century. In 1885 the railway from Mährisch Weißkirchen to Wsetin was inaugurated. From 1893 the name of the village was Choryň and since 1925 it has been called Choryně . After the cancellation of the Okres Valašské Meziříčí, Choryně was assigned to the Okres Vsetín in 1960. The community has had a coat of arms and a banner since 1998; this goes back to the coat of arms of the Chorynský von Ledska family.
