Attractions

  • The Marienkirche on the outskirts was built in 1968, but was initially only allowed to be used as a ceremonial hall for funerals. It could not be consecrated until 1991.
  • In the place there are some monuments of folk architecture from the early 19th century.
  • Around Lačnov there are some meadows with large populations of spring crocus, which is highly endangered in the wild in the Czech Republic . The species is not native here. It was probably brought in from the Alpine region during the Napoleonic Wars , along with the hay that the troops had carried with them as horse fodder. Three areas near Lačnov are under nature protection: the Lačnov natural monument right in the village (0.23 ha, since 1948), the Sucháčkovy paseky natural monument (0.70 ha, since 1999) and the Smolinka natural monument (5.41 ha, since 1982) . The protected areas include the remnants of what were formerly much larger crocus stocks, which were severely decimated in the 1960s by intensive agriculture.
