Kunovice (German Kunowitz ) is a municipality with 644 inhabitants in the Czech Republic . It is located four kilometers south of the town of Kelč at 407 m above sea level. M. right of the river Komarnik at the foot of Hostýnské mountains ( Hostýnské vrchy ) and belongs to the vsetín district of.

Kunovice is on the railway from Valašské Meziříčí to Hulín . Neighboring towns are Loučka in the southeast, Podhradní Lhota and Komárno in the southwest, Babice and Lhota in the north and Police in the east.
history
The place was first mentioned in 1131 by the Olomouc bishop Heinrich Zdik in a listing of the diocese's property. In 1232, the now extinct village of Polom was also listed.
Kunowitz was parish to Keltsch until 1726 , then to Podhradní Lhota until 1784 and then to Loučka. On May 30, 1875, the village school was opened, the establishment of which the village had asked the manor to build since 1823: in 1892 the chapel and a cemetery were built. On July 1, 1888, the Kunovice-Loučka stop , located between the two towns on Komarník, was put into operation.
In 1985 the village was incorporated into Loučka together with Police . Since 1990 Kunovice has been an independent municipality again.
