history

Študlov was first mentioned in 1422 in a document from King Sigismund as Ščudlov , in which the later emperor attributed the place together with Bylnice , Štítná as well as Malý Lačnov and Velký Lačnov to Miroslav von Cimburg . The village belonged to the Brumov rule and was sold with this in 1503 by Vladislav II to Jan von Lomnitz auf Meseritsch . In the 17th and 18th centuries, the Moravian village on the border with Hungary was attacked several times by the Turks and most recently by the Kuruc . With the division of the Brumov rule in the middle of the 17th century, Študlov fell to the Návojná rule , where the place remained until the abolition of patrimonial rule in 1848. In 1805 the residents of Študlov rose up against the ever increasing yoke of obligations to the authorities. The uprising was put down with the help of the military. Študlov remained a poor village, the inhabitants of whom laboriously lived from agriculture. In the second half of the 19th century, the need was so great that large parts of the population emigrated to America. The residents who remained in the village improved their livelihood by making shingles and wooden tools.

The last feudal lord was Wolfgang Ritter von Manner in 1848. In 1942 the place was electrified. Until 1945 the goods in the village belonged to the Centner-Manner family.
