history

The first written mention of the Podole estate belonging to the episcopal feudal lordship of Kelč took place in 1369. Podole formed an independent feudal estate in it, the first known owner of which was Zigota von Podolí between 1382 and 1389. Zigota also owned the estate beyond, but had been in common with his three brothers, pastor Lup "Vlk" in Všechovice as well as Čeněk and Beneš since at least 1408 . In 1437 the fiefdom belonged to Hynek von Tamfeld. In 1527 Podole was attached to the Loučka feudal estate . In 1554 the place was referred to as Podoli and in 1718 as Podoly . The residents lived from agriculture. Until 1784 the village was parish to Podhradní Lhota, after which it was assigned to the locality Loučka. In 1803 Podoly consisted of 18 gardeners, 12 sitters and 13 kotters. Besides the farm, there was a distillery and a mill with an oil press in Podoly at that time. In the 19th century, some of the residents earned extra income by weaving wicker seats. The place name Podoli has been handed down from 1846 . Until 1849 Podoli remained subservient to the Loučka rule and belonged to the Prerau district.

After the abolition of patrimonial Podolí / Podoly formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Valašské Meziříčí. In 1894 a school was established in Podolí, which was also attended by the children from Lázy. Before that, both villages were schooled in Loučka. After the cancellation of the Okres Valašské Meziříčí, Podolí was assigned to the Okres Vsetín in 1960. Between 1955 and 1965, a new municipal office with a syringe house was built. Between 1980 and 1990 Podolí was incorporated into Loučka. After the school was closed, a kindergarten was established in the building in the 1990s.
