The Rajnochovice cadastre covers large parts of the forests of the Hostein Mountains and is one of the largest in the Kroměříž Okres. The Rajnochovice railway station, located three kilometers northwest of the village on the Hulín - Valašské Meziříčí railway line in the open, belongs to the cadastre of Podhradní Lhota.

Neighboring towns are Polomsko, Kunovice and Loučka in the north, Lázy in the northeast, Mikulůvka in the east, Kamasi, Na Vrátném and Kateřinice in the southeast, Paseky in the south, Rosošné in the south-west, Loukov in the west and Příkazy , Juhyně and Podhradní Lhota in the north-west.

history

The first written mention of the village of Polom was made in 1272 as part of the castle lordship of Schauenburg . It was located in the corridors of today's one- shift Polomsko and later went out again. Other, later extinct settlements in the municipality were Hodonovice, Černá Ves and the town of Košov.

At the beginning of the 18th century, the forests of the upper Juhynětal were settled by the Pasekaren, and the settlement of Zálhotí was established . On May 8, 1721, Cardinal Wolfgang Hannibal von Schrattenbach founded the village of Rainochowitz in the place of an episcopal iron hammer . He named it after the dairy farmer Nikolaus Rainoch ( Mikuláš Rajnoch ), who was born here in 1644. Between 1716 and 1738, Cardinal Schrattenbach also had Saints at the foot of the Klínec at the source. Anna built next to an old wooden church the church of Maria Wiegenfest and St. Anna as parish church of Podhradní Lhota and outsourced the settlement from the parish of Kelč . In 1798 the village was called Reinochowitz or Ragnochowitz . In 1810 a ceramic factory was established in Rainochowitz. Until the middle of the 19th century, the place was always subject to Kelč.

After the abolition of patrimonial Rainochwitz formed a community in the district authority Holleschau and the judicial district Bistritz from 1850 . Since 1872 the municipality used the official name Rainochovice and since 1881 Rajnochovice . In the 80 years of its existence, the ceramics manufacture gained international importance. It was closed in 1890. In 1893 a sawmill was built in place of an old board mill. From 1906 to 1921, on the initiative of the Archbishop of Olomouc Theodor Kohn , a narrow-gauge railway with a gauge of 700 mm was in operation to transport logs for the sawmill. The sawmill was modernized in 1948 and the Klauza reservoir was built on the Rozsošný creek below the Fons – Theodoridue source. 1960 Rajnochovice was incorporated into the Okres Kroměříž. The Podhradní Lhota parish was given the new name Rajnochovice parish in 1974 after the actual location of its parish seat. Rajnochovice is now a resort, there are over 550 holiday houses in the municipality. Over 1500 people live in the village during the summer months. The Olomouc bishopric runs the Přístav youth center in Rajnochovice.
