The Kelčský Javorník (German Keltscher Jawornik , also Keltscher Ahornberg ) is with a height of 865  m nm the highest elevation of the Hostýnské vrchy in the Czech Republic .

geography

The Kelčský Javorník is located seven kilometers east of the town of Bystřice pod Hostýnem in the central part of the Hostýnské vrchy . At the northern foot are the villages of Příkazy , Osíčko and Komárno , in the northeast Podhradní Lhota and Rajnochovice , east the Holubova chata, in the southwest Chvalčov , west Bystřice pod Hostýnem and northwest V Revíře and Loukov . The Kelčský Javorník nature reserve , a 122.3455 hectare primeval forest area , has been located on the northern slope since 1976 .

description

The densely forested mountain offers no vantage points and is therefore rarely used. To the northeast lies the desert castle Šaumburk on a foothill and below it the ruins of the castle Nový Šaumburk and Zubříč. The Moštěnka rises southwest of the mountain .
