history

The first written mention of Lucow was in 1348 when Vladike Vavřinec von Količín was named as the owner of a share. In 1360 one part belonged to the brothers Ctibor, Rúš and Mikuláš von Loukov, in 1368 another part belonged to the Archbishop of Magdeburg Albrecht von Sternberg and in 1374 the third part belonged to Ješek Schutz von Loukov. The place name Lukowyc has been handed down from 1391 . The village was divided into three parts until 1532. During this time there were two manorial farms in Loukov. 1447 a part of Luckow was attached to the rule Bystřice . In 1466 the village was called Lukow . From 1486 Benešek owned a share from Křtomil, he called himself from 1493 von Loukov and von Křtomil. He was followed by his sons Mikuláš and Jodok von Loukov, the latter can be traced back to 1532.

In 1489 Jiřík von Loukov sold his farm and the associated half of the village to Václav von Bystřice. In 1532 the Bystřice lordship also acquired the third share from Loukov, so that now the entire village was subject to Bystřice. Loukov was a parish village at that time, Libosváry, Příkazy and Osíčko also belonged to the districts. In the second half of the 16th century the Bystřice manor belonged to the Prusinovský from Víckov and at the beginning of the Thirty Years' War to Václav Bítovský from Bítov. In 1620 the Lisowski Cossacks ( Lisovčíci ), a Polish mercenary army named after their founder Aleksander Józef Lisowski , who died in 1616 , invaded Loukov. The church was also destroyed. After the Battle of White Mountain in 1621, the goods were confiscated by Václav Bítovský and Bystřice was sold to Zdeněk Vojtěch Popel von Lobkowicz . In 1625 Loukov was parish after Bystřice. In 1650, Johann von Rottal acquired the Bystřice estate and united it with Holešov to form one large estate. The consequences of the war were still noticeable in 1674, when ten of the 54 properties were still in desolation. From 1675 the village was called Laukow . At the request of Bystřice pastor Tobias Schwach, the church was restored and in 1679 a tower was added. In 1755 a restaurant was opened in Loukov . In 1763 the line of the Counts of Rottal died out in the male line; when the lordship Holešov-Bystřice was divided among the heirs, Laukow was again subject to Bystřice. The oldest local seal dates from 1778, it bears the inscription PECZET DEDINI LOKOWA . The locality was raised to a curate in 1784 . In 1789 the Counts della Rovere di Monte l´Abbate followed as new owners and in 1804 Johann Nepomuk Count Wengerský acquired the rule. Around 1810 a maple sugar factory was established in the woods below the Kuželka . Later, a stoneware factory for Rajnochovice ceramics was built near V Revíře . From 1827 the Bystřice estate belonged to Count Laudon. In 1843 a parish was set up again in Laukow . Until the middle of the 19th century Laukow always remained subordinate to Bystřice.

After the abolition of patrimonial Laukow formed from 1850 a community in the district authority Holleschau . The ceramic factory had to cease operations in 1871 after a slump in sales. Since 1872, the communities carried the name Loukov / Loukow . In 1881 a new school building was built for three-class lessons. Between 1886 and 1888 the railway line from Bystřice pod Hostýnem to Valašské Meziříčí was built near Loukov. In 1890 the village consisted of 133 houses and had 761 inhabitants. Loukov received a train station in 1900. After the Okres Holešov was abolished, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Kroměříž in 1960. On August 15, 1976 Libosváry was incorporated.

Since 1995 the community has had a coat of arms and a banner. They were designed by the heraldist Miroslav Pavlů and show a golden sun surrounded by three silver maple leaves on a blue background. The maple leaves symbolize the location in the foreland of the Kelčský Javorník and the earlier maple sugar production, the sun is borrowed from the coat of arms of the Vladiken of Křtomil.

Local division

The community Loukov consists of the districts Libosváry ( Liboswar ) and Loukov ( Loukow ) and the single layer V Revíře.
