geography

The fishing village Pacetluky is located on a pass in the Podbeskydská pahorkatina ( pre-Beskid hill country ). Two brooks arise in the village; the Pacetlucký potok drains to the southwest and an unnamed stream to the northeast to Kozrálka. To the north-west lies the Zámeček forest area, which is part of the Pacetluky and Roštění cadastre.

Neighboring towns are Líšná , Kozrál and Turovice in the north, Dřevohostice , Lipová and Křtomil in the north-east, Prusinovice in the east, Jankovice in the south-east, Tučapy and Bořenovice in the south, Roštění in the south-west, Kostelec u Holešova and Karlovice in the north-west and Beňovice in the north-west.

history

Archaeological finds prove an early settlement of the community area. This includes one of the largest stone wedges found in Moravia.

The first documentary mention of the village of Pecotulcech , which is part of the Prerau castle , was made in 1131 in a list of properties by the Olomouc bishop Heinrich Zdik among the properties of the Prerau archdeaconate . According to ancient traditions, the inhabitants of the place fled during the invasion of the Golden Horde in the forest area Kostelecký les northwest of the place. The field names Kača and Tereza are said to have originated at that time. After the introduction of the feudal system by Bishop Bruno von Schauenburg , the lords of Sternberg , von Prusinowitz , von Víckov and von Zierotin, among others, were enfeoffed with the estate from the middle of the 13th century . In 1270 the place was called Paczotluch , 1437 Paczotluk , 1446 Paczotluky and 1499 Pacetluk . Halfway to Kozrál there was once the settlement of Lhota; it was extinguished between 1368 and 1386 in a time not marked by wars. It is therefore believed that Lhota perished either by fire or by the Black Death . The forests offered protection to the residents even during the Hussite Wars when the insurgents burned Kladeruby . During the Bohemian-Austrian War in 1468, the lochy were built on the Bílý Kopec and the Rýpaniny as hiding places for the grain. These granaries, which were set up in sandstone and closed with a flat stone, were four meters deep and over one and a half meters wide.

In 1499, Archleb von Víckov sold the corridors of the desert village of Lhota to the municipality of Pacetluky for 20 Scherf Czech groschen. A large part of the residents were weavers. From 1554 the weavers belonged to the Holleschau guild. Cardinal Franz Seraph von Dietrichstein donated the property to the Olomouc Chapter at the beginning of the 17th century with the condition that the income from Pacetluk be used to maintain the St. Stanislaus Chapel in the Olomouc Cathedral . During the Thirty Years War, the inhabitants saved their belongings from the Swedes by fleeing into the woods. After the Battle of the White Mountain , Zdeněk Vojtěch von Lobkowicz bought the estate. His son Wenzel Eusebius von Lobkowicz sold the property in 1650 to Johann von Rottal , who united the dominions of Bistritz and Holleschau into one great dominion. In 1717 a weaving guild was formed in Prusinovice, which also included the weavers from Bořenovice , Roštění , Kostelec, Líšná and Pacetluky. The forced labor of the residents of Pacžetluk was replaced in the middle of the 18th century by an annual payment at St. John's. In 1775 the village consisted of 28 properties; these were divided into eleven Halbhüfner, two gardeners, the local tavern, two poor houses and twelve houses on community property. The chapter subjected Pacetluk to the beer compulsory for Tršice beer and granted the community the right to drink. The three-sided village green, in the middle of which there was a brick bell tower, was protected by two gates on the roads to Prusinovice and Roštění. The oldest local seal comes from the end of the 18th century, it bears the legend PECZET. DIEDINY. PACETLUK . In 1790 Franz von Rottal , who had no male descendants, bequeathed the property to his nephew Johann Nepomuk Wenger. He was followed by Jean Monte l'Abbate, whose sister owned the property to her husband Olivier von Laudon. Other owners were Ernst von Laudon and his son Ernst Gideon von Laudon .

After the abolition of patrimonial Pačetluky / Patzedluk formed from 1850 a municipality in the district authority Holleschau. The place name Pacedluky has been used since 1872 and Pacetluky since 1890 . There was a stone windmill on Bílý Kopec, which was later replaced by a wooden one. The weaving trade, which was not competitive due to outdated technology with the flourishing textile industry, experienced its decline during this time. In 1890, Josef Šidlík from Dubany, the last hand weaver, gave up the trade. In 1897 a one-class village school was established in Pacetluky, before lessons took place in Prusinovice. In 1908 the shooting club was founded. The road to Prusinovice was built in 1910. Between 1913 and 1914 the corridors between Pacetluky and Prusinovice were meliorated. In the 1921 census, 286 people lived in the village's 51 houses, 211 of whom were Catholics and 65 Protestants. The community library was established in 1923. In the same year the district road to Roštění was built. The village was electrified in 1928. The windmill ceased operations in 1945. In 1946 the volunteer fire brigade was founded. In 1961 the community was added to the Okres Kroměříž . The village green was transformed into a park in the 1970s. Since the school closed in 1973, the local children have returned to Prusinovice. The windmill, designated as dilapidated since 1973, was sold to Klobouky u Brna in 1982 and restored and erected there until 1985. Ethnographically the village belongs to Hanna .

coat of arms

Pacetluky has had a coat of arms and a banner since 1999. It was designed by the heraldist Miroslav JV Pavlů and shows on a green shield symbolizing agriculture a golden sheaf with a ribbon in silver, red and black, the colors of the Víckovský von Víckov family. There are two silver scythes on either side.
