history

The first written mention of the village of Nyezkowicze , which belonged to the Količín rule , came in 1397 when, after the death of Peter Holický von Sternberg, his heirs Peter von Krawarn and Marquart von Sternberg built the Količín Castle with the villages of Blazice , Hostišová , Količín, Lechotice , Machová , Markov, Meziříčí, Mysločovice , Nyezkowicze , Racková , Sazovice , Syrotsko and Žeranovice to the brothers Zdenko and Jesko von Sternberg on Lukov . Before 1407, Hanuš von Milčany acquired the village of Nyezkowicze from Jesko von Sternberg, which consisted of 18 hubs, two taverns and two Podsedeken . In 1408 Hanuš von Milčany sued the owner of the Malenovice estate , Johann von Schönwald and Stulbach ( Jana ze Šumvaldu a ze Štulbachu ) for compensation of 350 Scherf damage caused by his subjects in Nyezkowicze . In 1409 Hanuš transferred the interest of eight hubs to his wife Dorota, who linked them with her dowry Dražejovice. Three years later he sold Nyezkowicze to Albrecht von Sternberg on Lukov. In 1480 Nyezkowicze was attached to the Holešov rule . In 1518 the place was called Nizkowicz , 1589 Mnisskowicze and 1672 Misskowicze .

The subsequent owners were the lords von Zierotin , the Boogers von Lobkowicz and from 1650 Johann von Rottal . At the beginning of the 17th century the village consisted of 40 properties. The place became deserted by the Thirty Years War. In 1673 only 18 of the properties were managed. The oldest local sigla dates from 1699 and bears the inscription PECZET OBECZNI. DIEDINI. MISSKOWITZ . After the von Rottal family died out, the inheritance fell to Franz Anton von Rottal's son-in-law Franz Maximilian Nádasdy in 1762 , who sold the rule to Count Erdődy . In 1780 a village school was established. In 1834 Mischkowitz consisted of 58 houses and had 333 inhabitants. Until the middle of the 19th century, the place was always subject to Holešov and was the seat of a bailiff. This office was linked to the possession of the bailiwick and could be inherited.

After the abolition of patrimonial Míškovice / Mischkowitz formed from 1850 a municipality in the district authority Holešov. In 1858 the Erdődy counts sold their goods in Holešov with all their accessories to the von Würben counts . In the same year a new school was built, which soon turned out to be too small. As early as 1878, a new building for the school was built in the Na Kopci locality for 9525 guilders. In 1900 Míškovice consisted of 89 houses and had 576 inhabitants. The school was increased by one floor in 1906 and two-class teaching began. In 1921 there were 541 people living in the 95 houses in the village, 539 of whom were Czech and two were Germans. Religiously, the entire population, with the exception of one without a denomination, consisted of Catholics. In his will in 1922, the Míškovice-born pastor of Tatenice František Jančík determined his parents' court for the construction of a rectory. Subsequently, the St. Florian Citizens' Association was founded, who tried to build their own church with donations. The modern building, built according to plans by Zlín Baťa house architect Gahura , was consecrated on June 29, 1928 by Bishop Leopold Prečan . In 1960 the community was assigned to the Okres Kroměříž .
