Tlumačov (German Tlumatschau , also Tulmatschau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 20 kilometers west of Zlín and belongs to the Okres Zlín .

Tlumačov is located on the road to Zlin, near the March River in the South Hanna border area .
history
The first written mention of the place comes from the year 1141 in a Moravian bishop's charter of Heinrich Zdik . In 1241 a Tartar invasion devastated Tlumatschau. The church is first mentioned in 1373. During the Thirty Years War in 1634 the Swedes devastated the place. During the Silesian War in 1742, Tlumachev was occupied by Prussian troops . On October 17, 1841, the first passenger train passed through Tlumatschau. In May 1945 Tlumatschau is captured by units of the Romanian army .
Attractions
The historic buildings include the St. Martin Church from the 14th century and the old manor house Kastell No. 90.
economy
Nowadays Tlumachev has more than 2400 residents, most of whom work in Otrokowitz , Zlin or Kroměříž . Major local employers are Kolečkárna (manufacturer of wheelbarrows), Metlašrot (scrap metal), Dura-line and the children's toy factory Stodulka . There is also agriculture. There is a well-known horse breeding station in Tlumatschau .

Tlumatschau has a bus station . The station is on the route book route 330 ( Břeclav - Presov ) of the Czech Railways .
