history

The first written mention of Lytkowicze shows the village in 1412 as part of the Světlov domain belonging to Eliška Světlovská von Sternberg . In 1437 the place was called Litkowicz . In the power struggles between Georg von Podiebrad and Matthias Corvinus , the castles Světlov and Engelsberg were destroyed. Ctibor von Landstein , who had the title “von Morawan” ( z Moravan ), built the Nový Světlov castle near Bojkovice between 1480 and 1500 as the new seat of the rule . From 1498 the name Lidkovicze was used. In 1563 Kateřina von Vlčnov signed the rule over to her nephew Friedrich Tettauer von Tettau . After his death in 1577 his brother Burian inherited the entire property, including Ludkowicz . This, as well as his sons Wenceslaus and Wilhelm, increasingly owed their possessions from the Světlov and Sehradice estates. In 1580 the village was called Lydkowitz and Lydkowicz . In 1592 Veit bought Bardodejsky von Bardodej Lydkowitz from Wenzel Tettauer and added the village to his rule Luhačovice . In 1629 the Serényi counts acquired the rule. In 1633 the village was ravaged by the Turks, in 1663 the Turks invaded Ludkovice again and slaughtered 45 residents. Other ways of writing the place name are Lytkowicz (1670), Lykowitz (1718), Lytkowitz (1720) and Ludkowitz (1751). The oldest local seal shows a heart and bears the inscription Obeczni peczet diediny Lutzkowice . In 1824 a village school was set up in Ludkovice, before lessons took place in Pozlovice. After the fire of 1845 the school house was rebuilt. Until the middle of the 19th century Ludkowice / Ludkowitz remained subordinate to the Luhačovice rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Ludkowice formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration and the judicial district Uherský Brod . From 1872 the place was called Ludkovice and 1881 as Lidkovice . In 1910 a new school house was inaugurated. From 1960 the community belonged to Okres Gottwaldov, which has been called Okres Zlín again since 1990 after the political change . At the beginning of 1980 Pradlisko was umgemeindet from Luhačovice to Ludkovice.
