history

The first written mention of the village belonging to the Vlachovice manor was in 1412 as Rankova Lhota . The owners of the goods were the Vladiken Vlachovský of Vlachovice until the middle of the 16th century . Around 1548 there was an exchange of goods between Jiřík Vlachovský von Vlachovice and Wenceslaus the Elder. J. Podstatzky von Prusinowitz , who received Vlachovice. Lhotka Vlachovska was sold to the Brumov estate . In 1671 the village was called Lhota Wlachowska . Since the division of the Brumov rulership in 1731, the village belonged to the Other Rulership (Brumov II) in Haluzice and thus until 1796 to the Counts of Waldorf , who had held an 18% share in the rulership since 1709. The place name Lhota Wachowa has been handed down from 1751 . The oldest local seal dates from 1771 and bears the inscription PECZET WLACHOWSKEY LHOTTKI ; it shows a beehive with bees and two bouquets of flowers on the sides. In 1796 Franz Kajetan Graf Chorinsky acquired the lordship of Brumov II. In 1846 the place was called Lhota Wlachowa . The parish has always been Vlachovice. Until the middle of the 19th century, the village remained subject to the Brumov II rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Lhota Wlachowa formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Uherský Brod and the judicial district Valašské Klobouky . The current place name Vlachova Lhota has been in use since 1872. In 1896 the Counts Chorinsky sold Brumov II's goods to Anton Dreher , who already owned Brumov I. After the death of the Dreher grandson and universal heir Oskar, the Brumov estates fell to his mother Edeltruda in 1926, who owned them until they were expropriated in 1945. Since 1949 Vlachova Lhota was assigned to the Okres Valašské Klobouky and came to the Okres Gottwaldov at the end of 1960 after its abolition . 1980 Vlachova Lhota was incorporated into Valašské Klobouky. Since 1993 Vlachova Lhota has formed its own municipality again. The community has a coat of arms and a banner; in addition to the symbols that can already be found on the seal from 1771, it also shows two silver wolf tails on the coat of arms of the Counts of Waldorf.
