history

The first written mention of the Lukowecz Dolny village belonging to the Lukov Castle took place in 1480. The owners were the Lords of Sternberg until the beginning of the 16th century . In 1519 the village was called Lukoweczek . From 1512 several owners took turns, including the lords of Kunstadt and from 1607 to 1625 Lucretia von Witschkow and her second husband Albrecht Wenzel Eusebius von Waldstein . He ceded the rule to the emperor in 1625, who handed it over to Stephan Schmidt von Freihofen. 1628 acquired the Minkwitz von Minkwitzburg the meanwhile heavily indebted property. The place name Maly Lukowecz is passed down from 1671 and Lukowecžek from 1672 . In 1710 the Counts of Rottal bought the rule, and in 1724 Johann Friedrich von Seilern- Aspang followed as the new owner. He established the Primogenitur - Fideikommiss Lukov - Kralice in 1750 , which his son Christian August von Seilern inherited the following year. Lukoveček always remained submissive to Lukov until the middle of the 19th century.

After the abolition of patrimonial Lukowecžek / Klein Lukowetz formed from 1850 a community in the district authority Holešov. From 1872 the place was known as Lukovičky , from 1885 as Malý Lukov and from 1893 as Lukoveč . The current place name Lukoveček prevailed at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1902, the municipality built the access road from the Holešov-Fryšták main road to the village from its own resources. The road to Přílepy was built in the same way between 1922 and 1927. In 1934 the course of the Fryštácký potok was regulated within the town. Between 1942 and 1945 the municipality was assigned to the Kremsier district , and after the war it became part of the Okres Holešov again. After the Second World War, the Seilern family was expropriated. Lukoveček has belonged to Okres Gottwaldov since 1960, and since 1990 it has been called Okres Zlín again. In 1976 Lukoveček was incorporated into Fryšták . On August 19, 2000, the residents decided in a referendum in favor of self-employment; as a result, Lukoveček has been forming its own municipality again since the beginning of 2001. Since 2005 it has had a coat of arms and a banner.
