history

In the 14th century, a number of guard castles were built in the Vizovice highlands to protect the area against incursions by Hungarians, Turks and Tatars. To the west was the Rýsov Castle, then Světlov ( Starý Světlov ) and to the east followed the Engelsberg Castle at the same distance . The first written message from the village Prowodow , which belongs to the Světlov Castle , came in 1412. In 1418, Eliška Světlovská von Sternberg appointed Jaroslav von Sternberg as co-owner. After his death in the Battle of Vyšehrad , Eliška sold the castle to the Roman-German King Sigismund in 1420 . After his death, his widow Barbara von Cilli became the owner of the estate. From the possession of the crown, the rule came to Heinrich von Leipa and finally to the Hungarian robber baron Pankraz von Svätý Mikuláš . After this became a nuisance, the Moravian estates bought the castles Engelsberg and Světlov and sold them to Burian von Vlčnov. In the power struggles between Georg von Podiebrad and Matthias Corvinus , the castles Světlov and Engelsberg were destroyed and remained desolate . Ctibor von Landstein had the Nový Světlov Castle built near Bojkovice as the new seat of the rule .

In August 1748 the owners of the lordships Světlov, joined Luhačovice , Zlín , Vizovice and lexical borrowings Vasilsko Forsthaus Vidovy a comparison on border demarcation in Vizovice highlands . Because of the resulting disadvantages, the Pasekaren in particular rebelled on the Luhačovice and Vizovice territory in 1766 and tore up the new boundary stones. With the support of the army, on December 15, 1767, the new borders were forcibly restored. The riot was shot down by the military in Želechovice , leaving four dead and many injured. Ultimately, the border recession was confirmed by the court in May 1772 and the claimed rights to the forests were revoked from the villages. In 1750 the pilgrimage church was consecrated in the one-shift Malenisko. Until the middle of the 19th century Provodov remained subject to the Světlov rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Provodov / Prowodow 1850 a municipality in the district administration Uherský Brod . From 1855 the village belonged to the Vizovice District and from 1868 to the Holešov District . In the 19th century, people began to migrate to more fertile areas of the country. Some of the residents earned their living as seasonal workers in Austria, Hungary or Transylvania. In addition to the fields passed in Provodov numerous orchards and in the community were a kiln and a distillery operated. In 1935 Provodov was assigned to the new Zlín District. From 1950 the community belonged to the Okres Gottwaldov-okolí and from 1960 back to the Okres Gottwaldov, which since 1990 has been called Okres Zlín again after the political change . The village has retained its agricultural character with Wallachian pasture farming to this day.
