Horní Lhota is a municipality in the Zlínský kraj in the Czech Republic . It is located in the south of Moravian Wallachia near Luhačovice .
history
Names in German were Ober-Lhota (1869, 1880, 1939) and Oberlhotta (1900, 1910). From 1964 it was united with the neighboring community Dolní Lhota u Luhačovic to Lhota u Luhačovic .
Attractions
- Engelsberg castle ruins , also known as Sehradice , approx. 1.5 km from Horní Lhota. Various foundations and wall remains have been preserved, the floor plan of the castle can be understood using the landscape relief. Until the 1820s there was a lack of clarity about the actual location of the former fortification; it was assumed to be near Slavičín or Sehradice . Alternative terms used are Sehrad and Tetov .
