history
In the founding deed of Smilheim Monastery in 1261, the stream Ostrata was mentioned , but not the village. Its first written mention was made in 1391 under the name Ostrat as part of the Lukov reign . At that time the owners were the Lords of Sternberg , part of the village belonged to the lordly forester Pavlík von Ostrata and his wife Anna. This share remained in the possession of the von Ostrata family until the middle of the 15th century, the last time the farm was listed as a pledge of the Zlín pastor Jan von Ostrata in 1446. The place name Ostrata has been in use since 1407 . The owners of the Lukov estate were in the 16th century a. a. the Nekesch from Landek. Lucretia von Witschkow, née Nekesch von Landek, who had inherited the rule in 1607, married Albrecht von Waldstein in 1609 . In 1625 Waldstein Lukov ceded all accessories to the emperor, who passed the rule to Stephan Schmidt von Freihofen. From this in 1628 the Minkwitz von Minkwitzburg acquired the now heavily indebted rule. In 1710 the lords of Rottal bought Lukov. Johann von Rottal sold the goods in 1724 to Johann Friedrich Graf von Seilern -Aspang, whose descendants held the property until 1945. The oldest local seal comes from the end of the 18th century. Until the middle of the 19th century the village always belonged to the Lukov rule.
After the abolition of patrimonial Ostrata formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Uherský Brod . From 1855 the village belonged to the Vizovice District and from 1868 to the Holešov District . In 1935 Ostrata was assigned to the Zlín District. From 1950 Ostrata belonged to the Okres Gottwaldov-okolí and from 1960 back to the Okres Gottwaldov, which has been called Okres Zlín again since 1990 after the political change . 1980 Ostrata was incorporated into Gottwaldov . In 2001 the village broke away from Zlín and formed its own municipality.
