history

Archaeological finds of ceramics and cut tools from around 6000 BC BC document a settlement of the community area since the Neolithic Age .

The present village was probably formed during the great colonization between the 13th and the first half of the 14th century according to the Lhot system . The first written mention of the village Raczkowa, which belonged to the Količín domain, including a courtyard that has existed since the middle of the 14th century, took place in 1397 when, after the death of Peter Holický von Sternberg, his heirs, Peter von Krawarn and Marquart von Sternberg, built the Količín Castle with the villages of Blazice , Hostišová , Količín, Lechotice , Machová , Markov, Meziříčí, Míškovice , Mysločovice , Raczkowa , Sazovice , Siročý and Žeranovice to the brothers Zdenko and Jesko Lukovský von Sternberg. After the Hussite Wars , Zdenko's descendants gradually sold parts of the rule due to financial hardship; so also in 1437 Raczkowa to Ondřej von Myšlany. The knights of Myšlany, a noble family that successfully prevailed during the Hussite Wars, made Raczkowa the seat of a small lordship and held the property until it was sold to John the Younger von Sternberg in 1520, who sold the Raczkowa lordship with the desert village Syrotsko to Katharina von Opatov between 1528 and 1529. Their daughter Appolonia sold the rule in 1538 to Václav Obešlík von Lipultovice. In 1549 the village and the fortress passed through his daughter to Bohuslav Knight Kokorský von Kokor.

In 1603, Charles the Elder from Zerotein bought Raczkowa and united it with his lordship Holešov , which he sold in 1604 to Count Popel von Lobkowicz for 72,000 guilders . After losing its function as a seat of power, the fortress increasingly fell into disrepair and was completely destroyed during the Thirty Years' War. In 1650 Johann von Rottal acquired the rule. After the von Rottal family died out, the inheritance fell to Franz Anton von Rottal's son-in-law Franz Maximilian Nádasdy in 1762 , who sold the rule to Count Erdődy . In 1793 they dissolved the manorial farm north of the village and left the village of Franzkowitz in its place. In 1834 284 people lived in the 47 houses. Until the middle of the 19th century, the place remained subservient to Holešov.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Ratzkowa / Lhota Ratzkowa 1850 a municipality in the district administration Holešov. In 1858 the Erdődy counts sold their goods in Holešov with all their accessories to the von Würben counts . The current place name Racková has been used since 1872. In 1949 the municipalities of Franckovice and Racková were merged into one municipality of Racková. From 1950 Racková belonged to Okres Gottwaldov-okolí and from 1960 to Okres Gottwaldov , which has been called Okres Zlín again since 1990. Since 1999 the community has had a coat of arms and a banner. The village has always been parish after Žeranovice.
