history
Archaeological finds prove an early settlement of the area. This includes tools from the Paleolithic , Neolithic and the Bandkeramischen culture . A settlement site of the urnfield culture was found in Slačovy . Other finds come from the time of the Great Moravian Empire .
Allenkovice was founded on June 29, 1634 by Johann von Rottal and named after his first wife Alena, widowed von Würben and Freudenthal . The place was created as a clearing settlement in the woods on the edge of the Mars Mountains. Various literature states that the first settlers were resettled rebel Wallachians from the Vsetín rule . The founding deed of the village, issued in Olomouc in 1634, does not contain any information on this. Such a settlement probably only took place after the suppression of the Wallachian uprising in 1644. Possibly new settlements arose in the vicinity of the village. The spelling of the place name changed several times. Alternatively initially were Alenkovice and Alinkovice used in 1655 Halenkowicz , 1671 Alynkowicz , 1720 Halen Kowitz and 1751 Halinkowitz . In the 18th century the settlements Eleonorovice-Dřínová and Kateřinice were united with Halinkowitz to one municipality. The first evidence of a school in Halinkowitz comes from the year 1780. In 1834, 1273 people lived in the 248 houses in the village. In 1846 the village was called Alenkowice . Alenkowice always remained submissive to Napajedla until the middle of the 19th century .
After the abolition of patrimonial formed Alenkowice / Allenkowitz 1850 a municipality in the district administration Uherské Hradiště . The current place name Halenkovice has been used since 1872. The inhabitants lived from agriculture and grazing. In 1902 the road from Napajedla to Halenkovice was built. Two years later the road through Zadřínové was made. In 1911 the road connection from Spytihněv to the mill in Dolina followed and between 1914 and 1918 this was extended from Dolina via Kašpary to Pláňavy. In 1930 the community had 2021 inhabitants and consisted of 454 houses, of which 444 were inhabited. From 1950 the community belonged to the Okres Gottwaldov-okolí and from 1961 to the Okres Gottwaldov, which has been called Okres Zlín again since 1990 . A new school building was built between 1957 and 1960. The new municipal office was inaugurated in 1986. After a flash flood, the dam of the pond at Halenkovický potok above Zadřínové broke on the night of May 7th to 8th, 1996, and the entire district was flooded. A flood of the Vrbka caused serious damage again on July 18, 1997, the road connecting Pláňavy and Dolina was interrupted for half a year. On July 22, 2003, a tornado destroyed over 50 roofs in the community. In the same year the new syringe house was inaugurated.
Halenkovice has had a coat of arms since 1993 and a banner since 2002. The golden lily comes from the coat of arms of Alena von Würben and Freudenthal. The three number of lilies and the stems symbolize the three settlements from which the community grew together.
