history

Kudlovice was probably founded between 1252 and 1321 together with Sušice by the Suchá family. The village was divided into two along the stream. The owners of the Suchov share ( Súchovy ) were probably Robert von Sušice and his wife Jitka, who was buried in the Velehrad monastery in 1344 . Guglawicz was first mentioned in writing in 1371 in a document from Margrave Johann Heinrich and his sons Jobst and Prokop , in which the collection of a toll was approved. This was to be transferred to Uherské Hradiště . Kudlovice initially belonged to the margravial estates and was later passed on to the Kužel von Bílovice and Žeravice as a pledge. In 1381 the village was referred to as Cudlouicz and in 1408 as Kudlowicz . From 1386 Jaroslav von Buchlovice belonged to the other owners and from 1464 the village belonged partly to Jiřík Kužel from Kvasice and Jiřík Buchlovský from Mošnov. The first mention of a vineyard took place in 1466. In 1552 the place was named Kudlowicz . The division was preserved for centuries, the upper part was subordinate to Sušice and the lower part to Kvasice . After the abolition of the patrimonial both parts were united in 1850 to a municipality Kudlovice / Kudlowitz in the district administration Hradisch .
