history

Burial mound from around 2000 BC BC document an early settlement of the municipality area. The first written mention of the village Schasticow and the festivals took place in 1321 as the seat of Vladiken Jaroslaw de Schasticow ( Jaroslav z Částkova ). In 1447 the place was called Sczastkow and from 1463 as Czastkow . The owners changed many times, one of the most important families was the Vladiken von Honbice, whose coat of arms can also be found in today's municipal coat of arms. After Czastkow was annexed to the Kunovice rule , the fortress lost its importance as a manor. It was probably burned down together with Svárov and Zlámaný Újezd during the Bohemian-Hungarian power struggles for the crown of Bohemia between 1468 and 1470 . In 1497 the fortress was described as desolate and was rebuilt in the 16th century. In 1605 the Transylvanian insurgents under Stephan Bocskai invaded Czastkow and devastated the place. Several epidemics of the plague followed later. During the Thirty Years War the fortress was finally destroyed around 1640. The oldest local seal dates from the end of the 18th century and bears the inscription PECET.OBCE.CZASTKOWSKE . In 1820 a school of its own was established in Czastkow , before lessons were held in the parish school in Velký Ořechov .

After the abolition of patrimonial Czastkow formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Uherský Brod . The current place name Částkov has been used since 1872 . In 1950 the municipality was assigned to the Okres Uherské Hradiště .
