history

Archaeological finds in the municipality go back to the Hallstatt period . The first written mention of the village was in 1350 as the property of Petr von Vlachovice. His descendants held the Rudice farm until the 16th century. Wine has been grown on around 15 hectares since the 14th century. Rudice has been a parish since the 14th century and the Church of St. Dedicated to urban. The church and parish probably went out during the Hussite Wars . Viticulture died out during the Thirty Years' War. After the recurring incursions of enemy troops ended in the 18th century, a parish was set up again in Rudice, to which a parish school was attached. Other owners included the Ořechovský von Honbice, Jan Lysek von Brandýs and the Counts of Kaunitz . Until the middle of the 19th century Rudice was subject to the Světlov rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Rudice / Ruditz formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Uherský Brod . The residents lived primarily from agriculture and work in the forest, and the number of masons has also increased since that time. After the construction of the Wlarabahn , several groups of young people went to different cities of the monarchy, where they looked for a better life. The bricklayers looked for work in Vienna and Budapest . The owners of the goods were the Counts Larisch-Moennich and then Jerzy Prince Lubomirski . Eventually, the Prague Bodenbank ( Pozemková banka ) bought the Světlov estate. In 1928 this was parceled out in the course of the land reform, a remnant remained in Rudice.

During the German occupation, members of the carbon skydiving group, František Kobzík and Josef Vanc, died in house number 98 in May 1944 while fighting with gendarmes. On August 29, 1944, a shot down American B-17G crashed into the fields in the Dlouhé corridor after an aerial battle . The bodies of the two crew members were buried by residents in the cemetery and a memorial was erected after the end of the war. After the dissolution of the Okres Uherský Brod, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Uherské Hradiště in late 1960 .
