history

Vyškovec was founded around 1730 as a settlement of Kopanitscharen on a road to Hungary. The farmsteads were built without a village structure in favorable locations, where there was enough water and which could be reached via paths. The settlement was named after the mountain Kykula, which was previously called Vyškovec. The oldest local seal dates from 1802. Until the middle of the 19th century, the settlement was subject to the Uherský Brod estate.

After the replacement of patrimonial Viškovice / Wischkowetz formed from 1850 a settlement of the municipality Hrozinkov in the district administration Uherský Brod . In 1869 Viškovice consisted of 87 thatched timber timber houses. Since the end of the 19th century the village has been called Vyškovec . The residents lived from logging and earned extra income by peddling seeds. Since 1910 Vyškovec has formed its own municipality. The parish and school location has always been Starý Hrozenkov . In 1919, 95% of the school-age children in Vyškovec were illiterate. To eradicate illiteracy, two schools were established in Vyškovec in 1934; one originated in Bošáčky, the other in Chmelinec. In the course of the construction of the trunk road from Brno to Trenčín , the connecting road from Nový Dvůr to Vyškovec was laid between 1936 and 1938. Previously, the settlement was only accessible by road. The school in Chmelinec was closed in 1953. In 1956 the road to Starý Hrozenkov was built. After the dissolution of the Okres Uherský Brod, Vyškovec came to the Okres Uherské Hradiště in late 1960 . After the school in Bošáčky was closed, the children of the village have been educated in Starý Hrozenkov again since 1977.
