geography

Bystřice pod Lopeníkem is located on the northern slope of the White Carpathians on the edge of the protected landscape area CHKO Bílé Karpaty. The village extends in the valley of the Nivnička brook , which is also called Bystřička here, at the confluence of the Pivný potok. To the north rise the Široké (425 m), Skalky (465 m) and Hrádek (521 m), in the northeast the Bučník (552 m), southeast the Vysoký vrch (698 m), in the south the Obecní háj (536 m) and northwest of the Kopec and the Skalky (387 m). The state road I / 50 / E 50 runs south of the village between Uherský Brod and Trenčianska Turná . The Ordějov reservoir is located to the southwest.

Neighboring towns are Novy Dvur, Nezdenice and Záhorovice in the north, Komňa in the Northeast, Novy Dvur and Vápenice the east, Uhliska and Troják in the southeast, Mechnáč and Lopeník in the south, Korytná in the southwest, Podhorský Mlyn and Sucha Loz in the west and Zámeček and Bánov in Northwest.

history

The first written message from Bystřička came in 1374 as part of the Bánov estate . Since 1405 Bystřice formed an independent estate with the Fortress Ordějov, which remained attached to Bánov. In 1513 the Ordějov farm and the Ordějovský mlýn mill were first mentioned. It is believed that in the Middle Ages there was also a village Ordějov on the right bank of the Nivnička in the Spláv corridor. However, there is no written evidence of this. In the 16th and 17th centuries Bystřice was plundered and devastated several times during the invasions of the Turks, Tatars and Hungarians. The oldest local seal dates from 1687. Dominik Andreas I. von Kaunitz , who had acquired Bánov with Bystřice in 1694, struck the property of his rule Uherský Brod .

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Bystřice / Bistrzitz 1850 a municipality in the district administration Uherský Brod . The village has been called Bystřice pod Lopeníkem since 1923 . After the dissolution of the Okres Uherský Brod, Bystřice pod Lopeníkem came to the Okres Uherské Hradiště in late 1960 . In the years 1969–1971 the Nivnička was dammed below Ordějov. The Ordějov farm, which had been run down since the 1950s, was flooded at the end of the 1970s when a dam broke in the overcrowded reservoir. In 1986 the neglected courtyard was demolished.

Bystřice pod Lopeníkem today consists of 388 properties, 277 of which are used for residential purposes and 95 as holiday homes. There are another 65 holiday homes in the Troják holiday complex.
